Manipur VLE shares Entrepreneurship skills among Khunbi Tuinem SHG members

Mr. Khongpungson Hongsha, a VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur)  from Manipur is acting as a catlytic agent for the rural poor. Apart from providing B2C and G2C services, he haas also been mobilizing citizens for a community sensitization program regarding the importance of banking, insurance, livelihood, etc. Mr. Khongpungson Hongsha (VLE) graduated from the Manipur University in 2015 and started to implement CSC project in March 2016.

On July 24, 2016, he was invited as a resource person for a two-day Motivation Camp for Women SHG members at Khunbi Tuinem Village, which is around 23 km away from his CSC. The program was organized by Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission, Chandel District. Twenty-five SHG members participated in the training programme.

During the training, he interacted with the women and told them about rural banking and its importance; Direct Benefit Transfer schemes under the central and state government; provisions to avail loan; income generating schemes that can be done by SHGs; NDLM and digital literacy; and setting up of CSCs at their SHGs.
